(Bush) Originated from the Friesland (locally known as Fryslan) province in Northern Nethlerlands where this variety was traditionally grown in forests. ¹ An excerpt from bean collector Russ Crow’s website says this variety is “Known in the Netherlands as the Yellow Forest bean. This productive Friesian heirloom has been grown for countless generations.” ²
