“[…] founded one of the first seed improvement laboratories after the acquisition of a seed sales company in Paris. Lucien Clause and his researchers move to Brétigny-sur-Orge and begin to create the famous elite seeds Clause. In 1902, 10 years after the creation of his company, he published his first catalogue, “Manuel d’horticulture et d’agriculture”. 4
