Guryn Golden Wax (Bush)

Description

(Bush) Prolific bush beans with slender yellow pods. Plants are compact. Guryn Golden Wax comes from the Byrka family, who runs Revival Seeds in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. In 1903, Ken Byrka’s ancestors, farmers Iwan and Anna Guryn immigrated from the Western Ukraine to Canada. In 1905 they began cultivating land and built their homestead near Riding Mountain, Manitoba. ¹ According to Revival Seeds’ Ken Byrka, “The beans were originally grown in the gardens of Mike and Chris Guryn of McGregor, Manitoba. The seeds were collected by my father, Emil in the 1980’s and grown thereafter.” ²
