Our original source NS SM M obtained her seeds from the Dalhousie Seed Library. The white seeds have a golden brown oval spot surrounding the hilum. Inside the spot is decorated with streaks and speckles of maroon. Very similar in seed coat to ‘Hidatsa Shield Figure’ and ‘Mostoller’s WIld Goose’. For fresh or dry use. 3 It is particularly noted for its use in soups and as a baking bean. 1, 3
