Champion
(Spring) A round red “cherry belle” type radish with a white interior and beautiful pink flowers. The Champion radish was named AAS winner in 1957, and was noted for lack of pith, which some radishes are prone to. This variety was bred by A.R. Zwaan & Son. Unlike daikon type radishes which were bred largely in Asia, round type radishes were bred by the Dutch and French.
