(Soup / Snow Pea) An unnamed ancestral French-Canadian variety. Originally cultivated in the Lower Canada region of Charlevoix. According to Louis Vallée of Semences Nouveau Monde, this variety was initially introduced at the beginning of the colony there. La Société des Plantes notes that Charlevoix was, “[…] introduced to us as a dwarf soup pea that can grow without any support”. (La Société des Plantes, 2024)
