Grandma Nellie’s Yellow Mushroom
(Pole) White flowers and deep brown seeds. Beans pods start off a light green and turn yellow at the turn of maturity. Best eaten when the pods are still green.
According to Heritage Harvest Seed,
“In 1952, Nellie Chernoff obtained a seed for these beans from a Russian lady. Nellie grew them in Kamsack, SK until 1988 when her granddaughter, Marge Mozelinsky, took over the preservation of these beans. Marge has been growing them ever since.
